Finding gifts for people is HARD. When you don't necessarily know them well enough to know their taste and you don't want to buy something that will end up gathering dust or be given to a charity shop a week after you've gifted it, gifting can be a HEADACHE. Here are six people my cake boxes are the perfect gift for, so you can stop stressing about what to gift them and can start enjoying your sweet life!
1. A vegan
Us vegans can be hard to buy for. Food can be difficult to find (especially if you want it to be good), clothes are hidden land mines (hello wool and leather), some things contain animal derived glue and colourings, depict animal exploitation while some things are just useless to us (my sister in law once gave me an egg yolk divider.. no thanks)… take the stress out of it by buying from a vegan business. You’ll make your friend happy in the moment when they eat gorgeous cakes, later when they come back for more, and you make us, small vegan business, happy, pay our bills and spread the word.

2. Someone passionate about the environment
I’m also a big sustainability enthusiast and I absolutely hate receiving gifts that are either wasteful in themselves (stuff I won’t use) or packaged in wasteful products.
For our cake boxes, we use all things sustainable - FDC certified paper and boxes, recycled printed items, compostable greaseproof paper, compostable tape, compostable sleeve, and our confettis are shredded used paper - and of course, our cakes themselves being consumables won’t end up gathering dust in a corner! We also run a kitchen as eco friendly as possible, without single use plastic.
3. A team at the hospital, your doctor’s surgery or someone who has cared for you or someone you loved
If you are grateful to a small team or a person who took care of you or someone you loved, you can send them a cake box with a little note to tell them how much it meant to you. Whether you have a health condition that made you see a team of medical professionals for a while or you want to thank the person who care for your grandparents, or did the shopping for your sister who lives far away and had to isolate, sending them love in the shape of cake will be so appreciated.
4. Your clients
If you have a small business and want to thank your clients for their loyalty, investment and trust or to congratulate them on their achievements (or both!), or help motivate them, a cake box is perfect - you don’t need to know what they love in life to make them happy with cake!
